We have two trained appraisers that can accommodate
your appraisal needs, whether it be for a professional use or
just curious what things are worth. Our appraisals are frequently
used by leading attorneys seeking professional opinions on values
of merchandise. Appraisals are used to establish values for
Estate Planning, Insurance Purposes, and for Dissolution of
Marriages. Prices for your merchandise are derived from past
auctions, comparative sales, current price guides, and quality/condition
of the merchandise and are considered Fair Market Value.
Under the United States Treasury Regulation 1.170-1c, Fair Market
Value is defined as: The price at which property would change
hands between a willing buyer and a willing seller, neither
being under compulsion to buy or compulsion to sell and both
having reasonable knowledge. Appraisal fees are derived from
office/clerical, phone calls, traveling distance, and research
time incurred. If we are used as an Expert Witness for testimony
in a court of law or deposition for the court, a separate fee
will be charged and would be based on current billing rates.
